You either love it or hate it, the low cost airline Ryanair. The airline has a reputation of being unfriendly and known for its high charges for luggage and name changes. Some even call it ‘’the worst airline in the world’’. However, we at CityHoliday love flying with Ryanair. You just need to know how it all works. We will give you 5 reasons why flying with Ryanair isn’t that bad at all.

  • They are really cheap

Flights for 9,99 one-way? Ryanair is one of the very few airlines that offer flights for this price, making Europe available for everyone! Just look for the fare finder calendar on the Ryanair website and they will show you exactly when you can fly for these low fares.

  • Check, Check, Double Check

Just give the booking process 5 minutes of your full attention. Make sure that all the names are spelled correctly and you will have no troubles at check-in.

  • You can bring up to 2 pieces of hand luggage

Back in the days Ryanair was very strict on the amount of kilo’s and the size of your hand luggage. However, since the customer improvements in January 2014 you can bring up to 2 pieces of hand luggage and even though they say that there is a 10kg weight restriction, they don’t check on it anymore.

  • They also fly to main airports

Brussels, Rome, Barcelona, Madrid, Ryanair no longer just flies to local airports 100km away from a city. More routes are offered flying directly

to and from a main airport. Saving you a lot on transportation costs.

  • Plenty of legroom

With a seat pitch of 30 inch Ryanair is in line with most airlines. Easyjet for example only offers 29 inch and mayor airlines like KLM, Swiss and British Airways only offer 1 inch more. Besides that, seats on a Ryanair plane cannot recline. So you will never have the problem of that annoying passenger in front of you suddenly reclining his chair.
