Krakow is known as ‘the Florence of Poland’. This is not without reason, as the city has suffered little violence of war. The historical city centre is still largely in its original state and has therefore been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site...
The crown jewel of Polish city breaks, Krakow was the royal capital of the country for almost 500 years, making it the luxury destination of choice for everyone from pack-packers, to jet-set explorers. Krakow has no problem keeping up with the modern world thanks to an enviable selection of modern bars, clubs and cafes hidden away through the many cobbled alleyways and streets of this beautifully gothic city. But if bland, boiled cabbage is your dinner of choice perhaps head somewhere else, as the diverse and creative selection of food available in Krakow would easily give the finest Michelin starred cities a run for their money.
