It's famous for being the home of Italy's royal family. Today, Turin, with its fine, aristocratic atmosphere, old world sophisticated shops, grand boulevards and palaces, leafy parks, and several art galleries, is an increasingly popular tourist resort. The 2006 Winter Olympics, and its status recently as World Book Capital have promoted tourists to visit this beautiful and underestimated Italian city, which has a longstanding cultural and artistic history...
Glittering boutiques, fabulous hotels and a sophisticated modern restaurant scene are only a fraction of the delights that make Turin a world-class destination. With an illustrious foundation of history Turin can now boast elegant, imposing architecture, as well as some of the finest museums and cultural scenes in Europe. Simply put, cosmopolitan chic doesn’t cover the extent of this innovative and energetic city that must be seen, felt and tasted to be truly appreciated.
