Florence is often labelled the most beautiful city in the world thanks to the abundance of history, art, culture and fashion that can be admired there. Book your cityholiday to Florence and enjoy Italian cuisine in the many restaurants. Buy an ice cream on the striking Ponte Vecchio, and discover hidden gems such as the Last Supper of Sant'Apollonia and the Palazzo Davanzati. No matter what you do in this city, Florence will blow you away...
Florence was the birthplace of Renaissance art, as can be seen from every church, statue and monument. Florence is one big open-air museum.
The works of famous artists, such as Botticeli, Michelangelo and Leonardo Da Vinci can be admired all over Florence, in museums, churches or simply by taking a stroll through the city. You should certainly take a walk along Ponte Vecchio, which is the bridge connecting the lively historic centre containing the Cathedral with the more quiet districts on the other bank of the River Arno.
Florence is world-famous for its profusion of monuments and works of art. The most important sights are the Cathedral with Giotto’s Bell Tower, the Piazza della Signoria with the Fountain of Neptune, the monumental Church of Santa Maria Novelle, the Convent of San Marco and the Piazzale Michelangelo with the statue of David.
